Description

The Dot Matrix Led Display filter mimics the effect of a LED display using dots of solid color. The filter comes with 3 customization sliders:(i)- Numer of LED dots: Controls the number of dots the output image will have. The larger this value is, the smaller the dots.(ii)- Palette Selection: Controls the color palette of the output image. This takes one of 9 values: 1: Full color 2: Solid Red 3: Solid Green 4: Solid Blue 5: Solid Yellow 6: Solid purple 7: 16 colors 8: 64 colors 9:512 colorsValues 2-6 are optimal if you want to mimic the effect of a ticker and dont work with full range of color images. The best input image with these settings has text against a black background.(iii)- Unlit Led Intensity: Virtual LEDs in the output image that are unlit will appear a dark gray. This value controls how dark this gray will be. Also acts as a cutoff value; sample areas with a median RGB lower than this will be represented by unlit LEDs.
