This effect was generated in Filter Forge, a Photoshop plugin that allows you to create your own filters.
This started out as my attempt at Watercolour, but the more I played with it, the broader the application became. In the end, I decided to call it "Colour Illustration" – some of the effects look like watercolour, but some look like coloured pencils or pastels or crayons or airbrush. Have fun!
NB: Since I cannot limit values input from sliders, some of the extreme settings produce some, shall we say, less than spectacular results. Of special note: Detail 1 should always be set to at least 1. Otherwise, Details 2 and 3 won't do anything at all. :-)
