Description

This is a filter which allows you to "carve" an outside image into smooth, marble-like stone. You can also just make plain stone for backgrounds or texture mapping by clicking "Realistic/Abstract" and setting smoothness to the maximum.Controls of Note:"Remap Colours": With simple veining, this control just reverses the colours of vein and background. The effect when using complex veining, however, is a bit more subtle – the colors cycle so that the light to dark balance is changed, but not absolutely inverted.Pattern Tweak: This is just changes the random seed for the noise component that creates the stone. This will change the pattern without effecting scale, colour, vein type, etc.Realistic/Abstract: If you DON'T check "Realistic/Abstract," you will get a photo-realistic carving. "Realistic Detail" only adds or subtracts detail. The controls for the abstract option, however, create a much greater variety of results. ^_^Have fun!
