Planet Factory allows you to create a multitude of world maps. Choose the colour of oceans, grass, land and trees. The temperature determines how frozen the poles are, and how dead the trees and grass look at the poles. You can set how cloudy the planet is. Perfect for RPG games and the likes. This filter includes a Fast preview option, so you can see exactly how your world will come out without having to wait ! You can use an image to determine where the continents are placed : the dark areas are the deepest. You can, of course, reverse the ratio if you want. You can also use a mix of image and generated terrain. If you want to add some depth to your map, try the 3D slider to make the mountains bump up !
