Hehe!

Well, some 'mechanics' lend themselves to more than one implementation! Big grin Big grin Big grin
And in this case, the implementation is significally different and worthy of a separate filter, IMHO.

On a sidenote, I have the impression that all the presets come off a little too bright. Anyone else feel that too?

Nice one again..!
You should combine the two into beaches (I need a vacation).

You're right about the brightness, the less intense colours look more natural to me.

Yup. I already thought about doing a 'Tropical Island' spin-off combining the two, and I like the idea.

I'll tweak the presets a bit and submit an update soon!

Ok, the update has landed. The presets are looking much better now. For another update, I'm thinking about introducing more extraction modes (like RGB, Lab, Y, L).

Looking nice but if its under water part way you may need to deform the part thats under water a little more to make it look more natural --like a 1.5% refraction with and some lighter and darker sections as well to make it look really deep

If Im not making sense Ill repost later I realize just how tired I am this morning was up till 3:00 working on a project

this is a nice filter btw

Hmmm... you're making perfect sense there!

I might make the noise distortion tweakable next update. And maybe add some noise that darkens some deeper underwater sections. Big grin

That's because I pay them huge sums to keep my secret hideouts totally off the maps. My plans for world domination must not be interfered with... Devil Grin

Yeah I had made one like kraelin without realizing but I think yours is distinctly different then either of ours if anything mine was closer to being a copy though after realizing there allready was one like It even mine had sublte differences like splitting the view and the water reflection being refracted while the part above wasnt

Now that I compare the two default presets, the old one looks a lot like 'Anarchy in the Cellophane'... Smile

This all reminds me of a "flaming pear" filter called "flood". It has a horizon line you can raise and lower (which indicates the water level) and then it gave a ripply reflection/mirror down into the water. (Voldemort's filter may be the most similar to it.) Anyway, you can check flamingpear's filters out free for 30 days -- in case anyone wants to look them over to get ideas for FF filters...

ssamm,

actually, the flaming pear one is where i got the idea to do one in FF. and that flaming pear flood is a freebie.

I almost crave a whole elemental suite from Crapadilla! Again, great filter, useful for making planetary map textures.
