vikram,
i havent actually pulled up the filter yet, so i'll ask these blindly; can you change the direction of the flare and split the flaring parts up more, widen the distance between? and can you change the flare size and change the opacity? i see you can change the color, so that's good. Ya can't sell art to artists!

Hi, Kraellin:
You can change the placement of the flare, and the flaring parts will reposition themselves automatically. I also included some controls for the size of the main glow and the brightness. Of course, you can always play around with the filter's internal workings if there's a feature I didn't think to add. One thing I didn't do, which I probably should do, is have the flare automatically apply itself over the image. Right now, it renders on a black field. Of course, in Photoshop you can press Ctrl+Shift+F to adjust the compositing of the last filter applied, but I should combine it with the existing image using the "screen" blend mode. --Vikram |

ok, thanks, vikram.
you could also use the 'set alpha' component to just wipe the background and keep the flare, i would think. or maybe set alpha combined with a threshold. Ya can't sell art to artists!
