in autocad? that seems a bit odd. or are you doing walk-thrus of architecture or something?
the fringe, yes, i need to get back to it. no tassles. uberzev was good enough to come up with the snippet for that and i need to finish it. filters, filters, filters... NO FILTERS FOR YOU!!!

Yup, architactural design is my 'bread and butter'.....but my art is slowly but surely catching up. I recently dumped labor-intensive photography for more efficient and creative digital because resolutions have finally caught up..... Steve

Try modifying my "Disintegrator" filter for it. I chopped off parameters of the Noise Distortion that will create this for you.....then use 'stretch' for the straightness..... Steve

This is a great filter! Can't wait to try it out when I get back into modding objects for The Sims 2 ^_^ As I recall, there's some symmetrical limitation on the texture mapping for the rugs in that game (It "butterflies" the texture map), so the symmetrical nature of this filter sure will come in handy. Just wondering, not sure if it goes again the Persian theme, but is it possible to make round rugs too? -Zephos |

zephos,
thanks no idea about round ones. i'm barely able to do the square one the latest version (not submitted yet) has got the fringe in the corners removed now but it's also now totally square and using non-square images will mess it up filters, filters, filters... NO FILTERS FOR YOU!!!

Looking forward to seeing the fringed version, unfringed version works well as a tapestry I'm going to live forever or die trying ........Carl |
