Wow... that looks really realistic with those colors and all... (although I can't think of anything that would look like that irl |

if it had just a touch more of a 'peeled' look, it would easily pass as wallpaper when it's being stripped by steam. Ya can't sell art to artists!

These look freakin' gritty + clean at the same time.
Uh, I gotta ask, Bongo51: do you have a quad-core compy yourself to run this effect? (Alas, I'm "just" on a dual-core.) I'm enjoying using Filter Forge to create http://torley.com/textures |

nope... running an athlonX2
It's slow, but I'm used to using Maxwell and Lightwave so the whole render thing isn't a big deal. I just wish FF had a dedicated 'prerender' or draft mode. For filters like this, or the one I'm working on now (magrathea) I just load a 200x200 pix image and everything speeds up exponentially. I got the idea for this filter from voyager. They have biological circuits that were endlessly being used as plot devices... you know.. "captian the biomemetic gel packs are infected with X, we need to do Y". so, this is infected circuits. I present the perlin sword, created in the searing heat of my filter forge. |
