You want to know a hillarious little secret about it?... That's the life preserver rope~ I noticed I was getting the rope in an isolated pattern and keep working it. The bird doesn't show on the presets in the Gallery though... (second preset) it's there when downloaded. LOL The about screen does say the filter will pull the colors and patterns from the image it is placed on------> for clarification. *grin* The presests are amazing- and it will keep generating fantastic patterns. (Drums, Arrowheads, I even got a four eyed bird after I sent it off to the Gallery... so that one didn't make it to the presets.) Those are the best kinds of filters when you can figure something out that is not in the Library yet~!~ It's a great feeling (have a few more of those kinds of filters in my collection). You know I absolutely love this filter but have to admit... the wheel preview does not do it justice. I like preset 1,2 and 20... hard to pick a fav though, LOL. I know that because of the life saver I don't know 90% of what half of these filters can do, but I do like the uniform system all in all. Do a good turn daily.

Well the Life Preserver actually works well for most filter previews... every once in awhile a filter doesn't want to be tiled and that's what the problem is in the preview for the Tailsman series. Nothing wrong with the system... just that the filter doesn't want to be tiled. LOL And in the preview it is set for tiling mode. (Standard format for all filters showing in the library). jean, nice one. one suggestion if you dont already have it. add an offset somewhere just before the results component so that folks can center the pattern on non-square images. Ya can't sell art to artists!

Patterns and colors depend on the photo you place it on. I grabbed a nice photo I'd taken of petrified wood for the next samples. Any photo will do as Talisman likes to make earthy patterns.
