I'm going nuts... many of my filters that turned out very nicely balanced for me somehow seem to be going all loopy when I try to use them on different size pictures.

Below are 2 examples.
The beads are cut off or just cannot be lined up evenly. I went back into the filter and added Offset for the vertical and horizontal and still can't get them to line evenly on all sides.

Any suggestions or ideas why this is and what I might be able to do about it, please Question

Nice frame work! The two teddy bears make a perfect photo to show-off your filter!

Great job!

Can't get over the beauty of this filter!

Stunning!!!

Surprised to see I had not commented because I do remember downloading and ohhhing and ahhing at all the presets. Anxious to try it out on some new pics.

Foxxee this has HU written all over it! Got to be one of the most beautiful frames I've ever seen!!! Big grin Big grin Big grin Big grin Big grin

Thank you both, I really do appreciated it... hehe Big grin

I know how you can overlook a filter with so many to go through, I seem to do it all the time. Hope you understand this is not some 'cheesy' excuse to get it up in the forum for a 'look-see' though Tongue

This frame, and some of my others, are really getting on my nerves when it comes to getting them to look even. Anyone else ever experience this too, or is it just me Question

foxxee, offhand i'd say this is due to the non-square rule and some of the components. things like profile gradients hate non-square images. it's the whole seamless thing with FF. trying using non whole numbers in your offset.

Ahhh, so it isn't just me then going crazy... (whew!)
Thanks for the explanation, Kraellin, I do appreciated the help Wink

So, I'm wondering now... is this why sometimes I find filters I've downloaded have the Seamless tiling box checked then? If that's what I need to do to give it balance then that's what I'll do from now on Question

Preset 4 works without a hitch... sample below (my fav preset!) Big grin

I peeked under the hood ... try two offest's... one that plug's into the height and one that plug's into the surface color. Frame plugs into one, blend into the other... ?? Should work. You may want to set sliders from the offests. Also this may effect the look of the gems slightly.

Here is preset 4~ Big grin

Great, I'll have a try on my TEST filter and see what's what. Thanks for doing that for me, Persidio... and I really like your choice of frame color and style for your 2 little girls pic. This frame just doesn't seem right going round a big ol' Mack Truck barreling through the mud Big grin

the library is divided up into 2 types, 'texture' and 'effect'. when you're looking at the list in the GUI, you'll see this. the top half is texture, the bottom is effect. 'effect' basically means it has an image component in it...somewhere...anywhere. texture filters dont.

ALL filters in the texture category have seamless turned on automatically when they are submitted. effect filters dont, unless the submitter has turned them on.

turning on seamless often alters the look of a preset. thus, if you make your presets without seamless and submit as a TEXTURE, the presets WILL get altered. you'll see this question come up fairly frequently... 'why do my presets not look like i made them???'. well, that's why.

Oh, that explains a lot. I was wondering why some of mine end up in the bottom list.
