Volde, this one is totally excellent!!! The combination of non-symetry, layering, and depth makes for perfect artistic compositions!!! I'm definitely going to use this one..... Smile Smile Smile

Your welcome Smile You have some real "gems" in your recent submissions....not saying anything bad about your other works.....I just haven't had the time to take a good look at all of them yet.....and by these, it's something I seriously intend to do.... Smile

Yeah, the presets on this look totally wicked amazing, I'm just scared of the render time. <crosses fingers and hopes it's not too bad> Big grin

Volde, after taking a real serious "artistic apps" look at some more of your filters last night, I have to say that you have a "goldmine" of undiscovered filters that I can use. Seriously, I could actually run a gallery show entirely of works from just using a few of your filters Devil

Thanks StevieJ I havnt been around as much as I would like or participating in the forums as much as I would like either since Im engaged in a lot of other projects Im getting ready to look at your spheres and see if I can fix the offset issue for you
I wouldnt hold your breath as far as counting on me finding a solution though but I will give it a go

Thanx Volde, I really appreciate the offer.....even if you just take a quick peek at it and offer a suggestion that I can try to pursue to remedy it Smile

My first take would be to try a portion of the resize crop and move snippet --in particular the resize --use that on your gradiant then plug it into a tile component
if its 100 size no tileing should occur but you can then tile when reduceing with out the after effects you described --this way the user dose not need to use the size slider in the settings tab but instead will use your sizeing component and should not suffer those problems
now as far as tile offset with a sphere refraction --Ill have to get back to you on that one
still looking into it myself

Okay here is where I got
i did 2 versions of the refraction one with the image left alone the other with the source image offsett
then I blended the 2 using a step gradiant and seems to work well
tested the results on 3 differnt style photo and seemed to work fine

No problem.....trying to emulate it right now.....just wanted to see the right way in comparison to the mess that I'm making Wink Big grin LOL....

PS.....wondering what you thought of the sample pics that I posted in this string above.....only test pics from setting up presets for intended high-res works.....

Sorry with kids its hard to get much done at night here is the refraction fix I prommised.

the selector goes
org --original
stg1 -first stage of the fix process
final --ofcourse the fixed version so you can compare the original and final output easier
