A little, but the pain comes and goes depending on how much I use my hands... so the chore of typing is a pain multiplied by 10 (fingers that is)

It will. When our sugar levels are out of whack it causes us to feel hungry. Insulin also does that, but it makes you crave sugar. The messed up blood sugar also causes us to have balance problems making walking very difficult and in my case, dangerous. Since I have been on these pills for almost a month now I have been able to stand and walk now for very long periods of time and without the balance problems. I am able to take near normal strides and lift my feet further off the floor when I step. I have more energy and my sugar levels are nearly perfect which will help restore some of my vision. I still have the sharp shooting pains for the first couple of minutes when I stand up, but it goes away fast. My lower back doesn't give out on me and burn with pain after just a few minutes on my feet anymore. Yesterday I was up standing and walking for 1/2 hour at a time throughout the day and it wasn't until night that I began to feel my lower back. I have very mild neuropathy (sp?) so I don't sit on a computer chair, but instead use an overstuffed chair where I can sit crosslegged or any other position that doesn't put pressure on the back of my legs. That was causing major numbness and swelling before. This is a fairly new medicine and like I said it causes your body to absorb the carbs at a much slower and even rate and that is a much better way for your body. Your liver and pancreas will thank you for it. My pancreas was showing signs of shutting down so this medicine has been a real blessing for me. |

I'll let you know privately what's what when I start this med too... just feel a little funny sharing too much out in the open  about myself. But thank you for all the encouragement, Ahimsa. Nice to know I'm not alone with this, it really helps ~Foxxee~
