Ok, I'm new so I'm trying to figure out some things. The texture this makes looks alot better in FF than on the website. There is a lot more visual depth than the preview has shown. Has anyone else noticed this? |

when submitting TEXTURE filters to the library, your presets are converted to seamless automatically for display on the web site. your actual filter will still have your original presets, but the web site borrows your presets and converts them to seamless for display here.
also, if you dont include at least nine presets, the library/web site will add as many as necessary to bring the total up to nine. i dont know if any of that accounts for what you're talking about, but you can evaluate it for what it's worth Ya can't sell art to artists!

If you run it in FF and take a look, that'd be a cow with a lot of problems. Good thinking Kraellin, I turned it to seamless on my machine and it looks exactly the same. That never occured to me (I was thinking the tiling kinda worked like the offset filter in Photoshop) I didn't expect that would change the contrast of it so much. I also submitted another filter today for making old rugs and the same thing happened. It looks pretty cruddy, I was kindof embarassed. Thats good to know, so I'll check it in tiling mode before submitting from now on. TYVM! Oh, is there a way to completely replace a filter you've made so it doesn't follow you for eternity? Will submitting an update do that? Benna |
