I have seen that uberzev have made this beautiful and interesting Offset Edges filter
And so I thought that it should be some way to be able to make something like this artistic geometric art by Andy Gilmore inside FF instead of Adobe Illustrator. http://crowquills.com/ICON-106 And a close up to see it better IMPORTANT: The colors to make this would come from the image source you use and not made directly by FF |

Is there any kind of snippet that can make or be similar to this hexagonal multiline grid shown above?
I have found Triangular Grid by Indigo Ray
Or much better modifying this pattern below to be multiplied and make copies of this rotating them and blending to make this Hexagonal like geometric triangles Pixel-Based Grid Snippet by ThreeDee
Anyone know some tip to make this hexagonal multiline geometric grid like it is shown on the artworks above inside FF and then be able to fill it with colors in the best and optimized way possible? Thanks very much |

Did you already give this a shot? It's not THAT difficult. |

Bit of tinkering around... outlines and smoothing between colors per tile. |

Thanks for your help, I have done already before something like the first one example, but is not what I want, I want something that can follow the grid, more like your second example, but not only using simple triangles.
Here below is something I have done, but is a quick test and is wrong (lines do not match) but gives an idea that the colors should follow the borders of the white lines that are stonger, or if possible both of them. |

Yeh, thought I'd start out with the basic of the basic part. Not like I'm trying to build the filter in one go. But if you already have the triangulation part down, then the rest shouldn't be so complex, just a matter of sticking the goodies together. I mean, that's what I'm assuming you've done already: getting the triangle fill right. | |

Thanks for your help and for the good result you have got, and yes I understand your intention to begin from basic to more complex for easier understanding, sorry.
Well, I am looking and searching for other filters examples on the FF library, but have not found yet a way to make what you have done very well in the last example you have shown here, I mean mixing both the triangulation colors AND the white borders, will have to see more on how is made. |
