I got to the point where I could flip the score around to 0 again 3x in the original Galaga. Those classic games I think are what brought OCD's into existance, oh yeah and carpal tunnel. smile;)

good. we need some OF's here! smile:)

my favorite was one of the first video arcade types, the space one with the sun in the middle. the sun had gravity and you fought either a computer spaceship or a human opponent. you could have four or five of your missiles on the screen at one time as could your opponent and the gravity of the sun was constantly trying to pull you towards it. so, you had to guide your ship safely around the screen while trying to blow up your opponent with your missles. quite fun smile:)

asteroids was good, too smile:)

Lol, I was very young when those were out, but I did spend a lot of money on Tron, remember that? How old are most of the folks here?

I was shocked by the ultraviolence of Dig Dug. If you can believe it, you actually used an air pump to overfill and blow up (literally) your enemies. Either that or you got them to chase you under a rock, and let the rock crush them. Can you believe that ?! And this was a "game" ?! For children to play ?! 25 years later, I can see why kids take guns to school, after playing Dig Dug 5 times, anyone could become a mass murderer. smile:cry:

Nice. Something happened while I was in college... everyone else got younger. (I never knew anyone who was actually good at Tron, but we all spent money on it)

As far as dig dug goes Jffe, I remember that game being pretty fun and honestly, if you want to reality check the violence in that game, google "cat silencer".

Yep, all good games. Remember how the track ball on centipede was always all oily? Ewww. And sometimes you would put your quarter on the little railing of the screen and it would fall through and be lost forever or get wedged in so you couldn't get it out? More recently, someone told me the area 51 arcade game if you shoot only friendlies you can come back and play as an alien!
