i like this, also. but, it needs a touch of refinement around the outer edge of the iris in particular. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Looks cool, though I think the pupil needs to be defined a bit more, blends in a lot with the iris. But that might be the light reflection that makes it look like that? Nothing wrong with a little insanity ;)
