Someone else take it to the next level! Adding a shadow and those little black features in the middle will surely add a lot of character.

I've got the little square bits blocked out now. I've gotta figure out how to shift the shadow just a titch so it will look like it's resting inside the cracks in the wall. Once I get everything ready to assemble, I'll put some real-life looking grain in, hopefully I can find some proper colors.
