nice one, KG. i'd certainly use it if i were doing 3d texture stuff of that kind. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

I TOTALLY agree jffe!! I actually put in some stuff at one point to see how things lined up but I couldn't figure out a way to do them properly so that you could adjust them just right to fit where desired. 
Should I just wimp out and toss in some fixed size rivets? I'd hate to do that because you lose the somewhat solid randomization the filter offers. That's one thing I hate seeing in filterforge- this texture that looks great but is very inflexible. It happens a lot with the real fancy filters, where the author had to sacrifice flexibility for the sake of making it look good. That's why you'll never see a "hue adjustment" in my filters- I don't want to restrict people from choosing the color they want. And typically I always tweak things so that if you want you can remove entire elements (i.e. sliding the height to zero on this one removes that specific feature). I've got some stuff in the works for a future version that makes the grunge more realistically fill in the dark corners and not be so promienent in the large empty spots. To note- I really want to perfect this bugger, so please critique and criticize away- it's my best hope for EP. Once I get that I'm probably through submitting  Already got my 5 HU and some people don't seem to like me here so no sense in stickin' around. |

----Maybe just an on/off switch for the rivets, and if they don't line up, well too bad and turn them off for that setting. Realistically, wow, it could be done, to scale rivets for any possibility, but you'd probably havta redo 1/2 the filter. I'd just add some nice looking 4 corner ones, and have that on/off switch. After all, the world is round, but it ain't perfectly round ha-ha.

I must say that this one is pretty frick'n good.....excellent patterns and form reliefs.....the best rust (and mapping) that I've seen here to date.....should be an instant Editor's Pick!!!  Steve

Vlad, I think this one slipped through the EP cracks.....it's without a doubt one of the best (and most realistic) metal form filters here.....and by far the best rust and mapping of any filter I've seen!!! Steve
