Thanks Indigo.. smile:) Blame that on the Kaleidoscpes...Even when using non-square methods those still remain only square..So when using this on non-square images you can always take the long way....Mask out the two side rails and create a new square image at the horizonal width....When finished with that mask the top rails then create the new square image at the vertical height...Then take these two results and composite them together in your favorite graphics app....Kinda like cutting and gluing real moulding but without the splinters.. smile:)
Heres the filter with a mask for just the rails instead of the whole image....

Thanks Carl smile:)
and yep its one of the least explored...From the different types and shapes of the moulding to the wood and textures used...Just a couple of favorite places to visit for
frame samples....
http://www.engelsenmoulding.com/shop/...?catid=180
http://www.larsonjuhl.com/
http://shop.geminimoulding.com/index.php?cPath=27

When going to the first one use the search at the bottom and select "description" then you can type things like gold or burl...Good samples there... smile:)
btw the engelson is my favorite one..Really close veiws of the moulding types..
