With your rusty subfloor and roofing method you may be able to make some nice buttons ........ there are just not many nice grungy buttons out there smile;)

less formal shapes for buttons is a good idea in its self ......... here is a quick example [ by just throwing a simple shape around your sub floor ] I'm not suggesting this is the final result, only the possibilties of your metal methods being exploited into buttons smile:)

ps.
the slopyness of the sample, doesn't really show the idea in the best light but hopefully you get the gist
