After making some tests I really love this filter, I do not know why, but this looks really beautiful to me. The textures created with all the gradients, different opacity and the colors makes a an awesome texture. |

And you can control well the amount and choices in the filter from small to large circles |

Excellent mix of hues and color tones can this filter make very well and it gives a really beautiful atmosphere
It looks like they are soft and light very thin paper circles flying in a cloud of similar ones. |

Another variation of the thousands that you can get with this |

Also very good that it ALSO can be used with source images to take the colours and make a cloud of thousands of little soft circles |

|
SpaceRay
|
And using the same image source you can get very different results, as the above one is really not the same as this one here |
|||||

|
SpaceRay
|
And using exactly the same flowers image as the last two example you can get also this very different one just changing the settings that gives the real spirit and beauty of this great filter
Like much how this can make this cloud of colorful circles following in some way the image source |
|||||

|
SpaceRay
|
And also good for subtle and light textures using thousand of small circles in the good selected hues and tones
Although I really do not like the pink, but this can be easily converted to others colors. |

Another version with strong orange, reds and yellows |

And then using the Alpha checkbox and also the Linear Dodge mode you can get even more interesting and beautiful textures and furthermore these can be mixed together with other similar alpha made and have even more complex ones. |

And this is exactly the same as the golden circles above here BUT with the Alpha mode activated
Now it looks like flying olive oil bubbles |

My first Filter Forge comment.... I've been lurking for awhile, and as a meager filter user am in awe of the amazing creative talent of those who create for this platform.
Love this filter! It's awesome. And SpaceRay, thanks for all of your work testing the new filters as they come out. Your critiques and posts showing the filters using real images totally showcase and expand the possibilities! |

This morning I woke up, looked in my inbox... and I had 26 emails + 3 edit notifications. Man you guys lol.
Yeah this filter's been hanging around in my little collection of stuff since late 2010. It's an old filter, needed an update. So this version's done from scratch and it's like around 2 times faster than the original. |

Thanks Grosvenor for your comments and I am glad that you find useful and interesting my critiques and you like my examples. I do try to be open and think in which ways a filter that I like can be used and what effects could get, I follow the what happens if I do this?
This filter can be used to MORE things than I have already put here and there is more alternative uses, as you can also make complex compositions with the Alphas, and also you can process through another filters the results from here and get something different.
Thanks and glad you like them too, I try to do my best showing them BUT I do not get paid for them I think also that a way to give thanks to the person that have done this filter is to put many examples to show what really this filter can do and using real world photos or images. I think that probably your little collection is a treasure box. Thanks for remaking this and optimize it to make it faster and for sharing this wonderful beauty with all of us. |

Here is a composition I have made with 3 Alpha layers made with this filter and then I have put all 3 together with some opacity and added the Tulip flower in between the layers of the circles "bubbles" |

Superb examples, SpaceRay! Truly easy to use, the "Alpha" option is very, very useful!! Great work on this, Skybase! "From the moment we are born, we start being filtered..." |

Please, Skybase, could there be a way that this filter does NOT make the circles IF the image contains transparent background ?
I mean if could be added an option to ONLY process and follow the source image and make the gradient circles following only the pixels that are really visible and not the transparent ones. This idea comes from this image I have seen
Because now all the backgrounds white, black or transparent are filled with the beautiful circle gradients BUT this is not always wanted and I am asking and suggesting if this could be possible to do in some way Thanks very much |

Haven't looked at how this filter works, but i'm sure it could be done either with Alpha or Selection. | |||||

The selection does not work as it cuts completely the circles, the only solution is to use the Alpha, please see the solution to be able to do this in this other thread Would be possible to create this Sphere of Spheres in FF? |

Well, a selection is basically an alpha channel, only it's not embeded inside the image itself.
It's just a matter of how you use the selection, as said by skybase:
Anyway, looks like an update is coming out, so we can all have fun with this |

When wrote this I mean using a selection in the plain and simple way using the selection directly in the already available filter without modifying nothing.
Of course that if you modify the filter you could make the selection be like an alpha channel |

Ah, yes, if you use the selection as a mask over the final image, it would cut into the circles.
There's no way to do this from outside the filter, as you want the circles complete, but only within the selection. |
