I will try to create something like this now, I really need it and I got some inspiration from the work made by Westmark for his ForestSandSediment filter,.

This is what I will try to create (this time was done using ImageSynth and then OmniGraffle.

Thank you Ron smile;-)

@Carl: I've already started over once, picking working component sets from the old "spagetti" and placed them in a new much more structured structure, then I deleted all the old components. FF crashed once just before I started to delete the old set, had about twice that amount of components smile;-)

Kraellin, I've been hooked in the "Pen and Paper" RPG world for the past 34 years smile;-)
Mapmaking is a pretty new hobby for me, I've just been doing it for 2 years, but I've been designing adventures and game systems as a hobby for many years. Did two commercial adventures in the early 80s with a friend for a Swedish company owned by a guy we all called Smaug. Now, he is head of "Paradox", holder of the right to Conan among other things, living in Hollywood. He made a great journey "mr Smaug", but he was a businessman already when I first met him in the game club, some 35 years ago, when we both we just kids.

cool beans smile:) i never got further than putting up a MUD on the new 'internet' back in the early 90's, but i had two coders working for me who would put into being what i designed in my head. we were quite innovative for a MUD.

Actually, I'm trying to make water edge tiles to use for this using FF.
These where made with Images and ImageSynth and some tricks, then composed in OmniGraffle.

Aha I see. I've got this one job on the back burner where I've got to do an animation of water absorption into the soil, to demonstrate the importance of water retention and management, showing water tables and root systems etc. Also another one I may have to also do is pollution, the effluent runoff caused but excessive cattle stocking, and its interference with the water table. It hasnt been an easy thing to visualise yet, and it will be a tricky piece of art.

Nope, that was just by using "the german eagle" as background "image" in FF, then I use some weird stuff to "burn it" into the wood.

Thx Steve and Craig. I'm gonna fix a few things on it, a few more settings that now are locked, but then I think I'll release it.
Maybe I'll have different screw options too.

I don't know if you want to do this or not.....but I would suggest options for thicker border and screws in corners and/or equal distances around sides..... smile:)

I got screws in the corner, and central. The wider border will probably break something, but borders might be cool, I'll look at that. I've just added another screw, or bold.

Didn't see them at first, but yes.... The border suggestion was to put like a frame around each tile with the screws in the center of it.....at the same points as you have it, but off the edge....

StevieJ - I know they will like it, but I made it cause I needed it to hide a couple of guns I made for a RPG map, but it didnt turn out well on the map but the filter did.

Just for show: This is from Google Maps (the Blyth fort in England)
