Vladimir Golovin Administrator Filter Forge, Inc. Posts: 3108 Filters: 54	We simplified the input sampling API so you don't have to distinguish between mappedness/connectedness/non-connectedness. You just sample the input with the appropriate sampling funciton. If it's mapped, you'll get a sample returned by the map component connected to this input. If it's value is supplied by a control component, you'll get this value (processed by the remapper, if used). If it's not connected at all, you'll get the value specified in component properties for this input.

Sphinx. Filter Optimizer Posts: 1346 Filters: 38	Mmm.. It kinda undermines the purpose of prepare() by adding extra constant processing in the main get_sample. Thats what I'm trying to avoid (Which is also why I was asking for static input types for Value and Color some time ago) Njyldgarkn sample cache!
