I don't know if it's usefull for anyone else, but I use Lightwave and Maxwellrender together, and I often need two forms of alpha or bumpmaps, one inverted from the other. In order to do this I would need to build special nodes and switches in FF or invert the bitmaps with photoshop.

A simple invert checkbox in the texture window would allow you to save both bumpmaps simultaniously. That would be a useful feature.

Or a different type of map in Render Maps which is even simpler.

At least I'm all up for a Transparency map (your "inverted alpha").

Yeah, In my big bug/feature list I suggest having additional channels, a glow channel is sorely missed, and custom channels which could be added to the existing render maps. This would account for any additional channels required, overall increasing the capability and allow for yet unforseen requirements.
