This is the first filter I made as a test in the new beta. It's supposed to be a stippling B&W filter to look like scientific stippled drawings |

looks nice JordanW had to have a play with the new lighting, so here is a completely useless texture just for a test |

Love that one skybase!
Made this one with stage2 and some AO and HDR lights. Good for your gold mines ![]() - I never expected the Spanish inquisition |

Totte,
is it just my monitor gamma or are your examples (and many of your filter renderings) terribly dark? --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Dilla- I've even asked this question to FF and th problem is that the previews in FF app is not gamma corrected so they appear sometimes much brighter that the rendered image. And yes, I see it when I've posted the image and see it through a browser..
See this thread: http://www.filterforge.com/forum/read...5&TID=6918 And a brighter version - I never expected the Spanish inquisition |

Didnt wanna be in the other post, strange..
And not in this post either, only 62 kB, strange, no error. I think it is shy now when I rendered with more brightness. Last try... nope, wont show up. - I never expected the Spanish inquisition |

Getting quiet around here.

very cool, meye. i have some like that from ver 1 but the detail you're getting looks better. nice nice, totte. i like that mound one and yes, the 'slag' is a bit brighter now. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Cool, Totte.
I can see that 'slag' turning into a bunch of different filters.
Thanks Kraellin. They actually started out in v1, but it takes a bit of messing around to fake the AO and the lighting isn't as nice. |

It's actually some kind of alien sewage that drifts across their largest ocean on their tiny orange planet called Gelxphela. And if I had to be even more creative and "lols" about this, I would imagine it as a melted wax dinosaur. |

very nice uberzev!
Now I need to improve this filter. Takes 5 mins to render (with ambient occlusion) which I feel like I can fake it for the time being. |

shades of steviej, uber. sweet and sky, i'd love to see the originals on those. very cool effect. can it be tightened down a bit more to give more detail? If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Skybase, I think you could easily split that into a magnetic field generator and whatever you're trying to do now. Roses are #FF0000
Violets are #0000FF All my base are belong to you. |

Yeah that's true. I'm thinking of redesigning some aspects of the filter itself. 5 mins render is a bit too slow for me, and I wanted to go for something under 2 mins max. the AO is actually the hindrance but also the beauty aspect which I can probably make fake AO maps. Who knows. It's getting there. Oh and yes, can totally become a magnetic field sort of thing as well! Here's one more original image. |
