Once created, export?

I've been learning about Filter Forge by modifying existing filters and even trying to make a few of my own from scratch. I don't feel they are ready to submit to the filter library yet, but was wondering how can I export them to share with a friend to look at and test out for me, or put in the forums for such purpose as well?

hi cris and welcome to FF.
filters cannot run by themselves. they only work and display if you have the program. the individual filters are not like .8bf plugins. so, you cant display filters by themselves. you must have the program. the only exception is the recently released 'free pack' that uses a limited/restricted version of FF to run those filters. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Sorry, not what I meant. I mean the filter to use in Filter Forge by someone else who also owns Filter Forge.

cris,
just RMB-click on the filter and choose 'Locate File' to find the file you'd want to share with your friend...  --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

ah. ok. you can also bring up the filter in FF and hit control-L. this will bring up the location of the filter in a windows explorer type window. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
