Hi,
i created a texture and it looks better if i use size/pixels in filter control and divide it by 2.. lets say i have a texture of 512px, so i use size/pixels of 256px..
But i dont want that, since i wanna use some gradients that dont repeat twice..
So now im going trough all my nodes and use scale on them to scale everything i want.. but the 1/2 scale on, lets say, noise isnt the same as if i do the above..
whats the scale ratio in that case?
I know the forming of the quaetion is probably hard to understand, but im hoping for the best! |

That seems like a really inefficient solution, scaling everything. Maybe you could try doing one of the "free gradients" which supposedly won't scale along with everything else.
Although, I fear that it might be one of those "non seamless" ones that disables the "Seamless Tile" checkbox. (WHY FF WHY??? you can't just let us do it?) |

I have allready gone trough all the nodes and scale them down, which was almost like creating the texture once again (to get it to look the same)..
Would still like to know if there is any "formula" for scaling the noise compared to the size/pixels..
"free gradients" are non-seamless, so doesnt help me much.

Would like an explanation of how the noise scale works. Also why the heck does it go to 300? Seems arbitrary. |
