Map Components

Map components generate images or process them. For example, the Bricks component generates a texture resembling a brick wall and doesn't require an external source for this. Other components, like Blur or Levels, process images sent to their input. Here are the key facts about map components:

• Map components are green.
• They generate and process images.
• They can be connected to Map Inputs only.

Map components, together with map inputs, are essential for building filters – they provide parameter mapping. Parameter mapping allows to define the value of a component parameter separately for each area of the image – see Map Inputs for more info on parameter mapping.
