Pixelization is one of those very basic effects that is - we'll have to admit it - quite boring in itself. Yet it is often used under-the-hood in many filters, and we'll shortly see why. For now, take note of the fact that most components in the Patterns category posess several different Fill Modes. The one we'll be looking at in this article is called Solid Fill. Above, we can see this Fill Mode in action on a Bricks, Checker, Pavements and Tiles component.
