Description
I've been studying Crapadilla's 'noise lab' thread in the 'filter creation' forum on FilterForge.com. This is a result of that study. This filter simulates a rock wall face, often granite looking. The range of this filter does or can fall a bit outside of that look, but mostly not and I didn't want to limit some looks by having to re-map some of the controls. I did re-map quite a few to keep the range within a rock look as best I could while still maintaining a wide range of choices.
The controls should be mostly self explanatory. The controls labeled 'shade' are modifiers to the main set of controls which don't contain that word.
It's a very simple filter but has a nice variety of looks. The power of this filter can be explained by reading that thread started by Crapadilla. Great piece of work there, Dilla!
