This effect was generated in Filter Forge, a Photoshop plugin that allows you to create your own filters.
Inspired by, and a tribute and a homage to: Victor Vasarhelyi aka Vasarely, the father of Op Art. A lot of the tricks in this Filter were developed by him originally, I am just following in his footsteps by putting them into Filter Forge.
Some notes:
- The three Interior Colors are only used when Colorify is set to 7.
- The Interior Color kaleidoscopes will create a checkboardlike pattern if set to diffrent values. Value 6 on the second Kal means 'same as for kal 1'.
- Pattern Desynch desynchronizes the checkboard pattern from the grid, This sometimes looks ugly, sometimes nice. For it to function at all, checkboards must be enabled as above, and Interior must NOT be set to Solid. Finally Pattern Desynch must be set to higher than one.
- Middle Select sets whether the pattern has an interior spot at center or not. Selection 4 offsets the reflectivity of the interiors slightly, sometimes causing interesting effects.
-Playing with Image Size *sometimes* gives nice effects.
