Description
A texture generator for slate, a fine-grained metamorphic rock that splits into thin, smooth-surfaced layers.
This is the high-detail worley noise version that my 'Slate Flooring' filter is based upon. Due to three layers of noise being used to achieve high-detail, this filter isn't much of a fast rendering one. You can - however - tune down the 'Detail' slider to achieve faster renderings, if you so desire.
Tips.
- 'Fast Slate' produces more homogenous surface looks, but can render up two 2x faster.
- Use 'Surface Chaos' to introduce subtle distortions to the surface for increased naturalism. This comes with a very slight increase in render-time.
