Description

This filter reduces the global tint or tone of an image, which can be useful when correcting photographies taken with only natural/enviromental lightsources (such photographies tend to have a yellow/red tint).

The filter works by negating the average color tone of the image, and follow up with a few make-up/compensation steps, as the color cast often absorb the natural saturation and contrast

Experiment with the Make-up controls for best result.

At position 50, the Brightness make-up does not affect the brightness - less than 50 reduces brightness, above 50 increases brightness.
The contrast and saturation make-up controls only increase contrast and saturation.
All make-up adjustments are relative to the Cast Removal control, i.e. if Cast Removal is 0, the make-up adjustments have no influence.

!! Note that the default lifesaver image is very bad at illustrating what this filter does. Try it out with an image suffering from the artifacts described above.
