Description
This filter is a merging of ThreeDee's totally fabulous "Lathe Internal Profile" snippet with a simplified version of my own "Wood For Control Freaks." I loved the lathe snippet so much I couldn't resist! ^_
I've given you six different curves to use to build your objects, with sliders with which to tweak the shape. My favourites are shapes 1 and 6, but I think you can have fun with all of them.
NOTES:
Shape 2 uses a stair curve, so some of the controls (most notably "Feature Scale") work backwards from what you'd expect. Play with it, and you'll get the hang of it.
"Repeat" doesn't actually give an actual number of pattern repeats, but more like a percentage, and the effect will depend on the values of the other sliders.
The "Background Colour" slider is just there to make it easier to see your object. The brightness of this colour will depend on the brightness levels set in the Lighting palette.
