Description

This filter simulates the effect of using a starburst filter on a camera as well as more abstract effects if you wish. It picks out the brightest areas of the image and creates stars in these areas, this sort of filter is often used to emphasize lights (try using it on a picture of a city at night) or to add a twinkle to shiny surfaces such as glass. Some controls explainedThreshold: This adjusts the the brightness at which starbursts are created, higher settings will only pick out the brightest areas.Suppresion: Suppresses some of the stars, useful if you are getting large washed out areas of stars. Works in conjunction with Grid/Noise suppress.Grid suppress: If checked then the stars are confined to a grid pattern. If unchecked then the stars are randomly suppresed using perlin noise. Grid will tend to create more uniform sized starbursts. Grid Chaos: If using Grid Suppress this will add a random distortion to the grid.
