Hmm.. getting that specific shape is probably a bit more difficult, but getting close to it would be a matter of figuring out how to deal with each noise pattern.
Likewise, this texture will be kinda technical to accomplish in FilterForge, but I'm pretty sure its doable. Will give it a shot but there might be sometime of wait. ![]() |

Thanks Skybase, doesn't need to be that specific shape, as you can see it's only a random worm shape pattern.
it's amazing how a simple organic shape be so complex to reproduce on the filter forge I'm curious to see your results again thanks for accepting this challenge ![]() Alcino Major |

I mean if you discount the fact that each line isn't touching, it's not that bad.
First create a simple base shape (the worm) and then feed that into the bomber - adjust the rest of the parameters on the bomber. The example image just showed each object not touching each other which basically (at this point) isn't exactly possible in FilterForge. It's one of those topics that trouble us. But I'm sure we can get pretty clever with it. |

well I have never used filter forge before, I'm a 3d modeler designer, and I'm using Unreal Engine 4 custom shaders to make procedural textures, I am trying to make this shape on external tools like filter forge, Genetica and Substance Designer with no success
![]() This texture is actually for a very complex material: aluminum with a worm like micro/detail texture pattern + macro textures variations I will share the material (shader) with you when I finish it ![]() also I will post here some pics of the final results. I will appreciate your help! Thanks again Alcino Major |

UberZev's Stones filter was a good starting point for me to come up with these:
