Thought I would post a sample filter using uberzevs Proportional Gradient filter..That
can be found here.. http://www.filterforge.com/filters/1915.html Using my Perception Frame snippet http://www.filterforge.com/filters/4911.html create a new image at a non-square size..Such as a longer width than height...The gradient in that version makes the frame looks strange...Now use the version that I posted here..Using the same image size... It should now look correct... Both uberzev version and ThreeDees new method http://www.filterforge.com/filters/5311.html Allow the image to be non-square in size with the gradient conforming to that size.. Perception Frame Non square.ffxml Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

For Proportional Gradient fans, I just submitted an update combining Uberzev's faster method with automatic detection of image direction (horizontal or vertical). To be found in a snippet store near you shortly.

Not that I've done so myself yet, but in case you do an update to a filter making it support non-square, it might behoove to make it so that you have a checkbox that uses the Switch Component to switch between square and non-square version of the filter. This way non-square can be supported while square images can still be rendered fast using the profile gradient. (And now I better stop talking and go make some...)
