excellent "theme characterization".....but yours is by far the best "realistic" metallic, unique variants, and modern designs.....which is why I'm bugging you about it ![]() ![]() Steve

I like the somewhat damaged/bent look to the wires; like in old machinery. My favorite type textures for metal things are the ones that look used. Some shiney new stuff is ok, but in real life we see things all the time with different amounts of wear. This has the look of showing wear and tear, but without the rust and grime.

Not modern day razorwire - it does not show wear. ![]() ![]() @ronviers |

Nope - that was it. Just checking the wire. It was closed down at the time though and I can't resist shiny things. ![]() @ronviers |

Not even bends in the wire? jffe, I am going to try to make time to get on my other computer today and make something to show these filters in use. ![]() |

Not even dust or water marks - must have a high chrome content. I should have taken a magnet. There are prisoners there now though so I don't want to go back. But I agree with your original point that in most cases the beat up and checked look looks better. @ronviers |

I didn't know that about razor wire. So if I make any pics with "camps" I will want to make sure that even if everything else looks aged, the razor wire needs to remain nice and new looking. |

The first link is to the kind of razor wire I saw at the prison and the second appears to be military razor wire. Both appear shiny and new but I am not sure this would hold with old, say WWII, style razor wire. Personally I think it makes a powerful point to have shiny new looking razor wire in the midst old and dilapidated surroundings. http://www.speedwellstar.com/images/R...re%201.jpg http://www.arcent.army.mil/cflcc_toda..._camp1.jpg @ronviers |

I would definitely still like to see any examples of this filter used as a texture, like a surface thing, since I don't do that type of graphics normally (ie = not in a long time, and not that well ha-ha). I'd even be willing/interested to visit your website etc. (just saying they don't have to be posted right here if that's a hassle) if you have some examples of textural graphics done with this filter and/or others (obviously I am partial to seeing this one in action, but others would be interesting too I'm sure) made with FF.

----Cool, no rush, and anyone can pm me or email me through FF. I'm really not trying to drag out my first "endless" filter thread ha-ha. I just want to see what people do with this one, since I have actually kind of developed it for people to use, (I spent extra time on it, and I even updated it with the alpha see-through part since someone mentioned that is all I mean here, not annoyed at all, just saying I tried to please everyone who posted is all), since you've all been very supportive of my musings on this one etc. ![]() jffe Filter Forger |

Poser 5 was given away free last year just before they started promoting Poser 7. I used the free Poser 5 to get Poser 6 with a free Poser 7 upgrade. Cost $140.
Bryce 5.5 was free and may still be. I will look when I wake up. I really should be asleep. Thanks Carl! I need to work on that pic a lot more though. |

I don't know why I never saw this, only just now downloaded it too. What a great way to use these filters, Ahisma! I have Bryce 5 (but had to buy it a few years back, and keep my DAZ Studio up-to-date as well, but haven't been playing with them for some months now. Anyway, I thought I'd do a few of these myself, but with a steel & rose theme... you know, like the complimentary 'strong and soft' compliment. It works really nicely in this way too, not just for brawny rough and tough all the time ![]() Have 3... here's pic #1 ![]() ~Foxxee~

That first one looks best, (you probably just need to adjust the lighting on the others, so the pink isn't washed out of the roses so much, my preset making = usually pretty weak ha-ha), like someone who is VERY seriously guarding their flowers from the evil robot bunnies or something.

![]() The others though I was really intrigued with the pattern and texture so I didn't care too much about the roses by then, evil robot bunnies or not ![]() ~Foxxee~
