Something about the background layer under the tiles doesn't seem right. Try to make it feel like it's dirt or darker chipped away stone.

I believe the intended result was to look like grout lines

as far as that goes looks great
You might ask if he can add a dirt option or create a second verison that has dirt instead
lets all whine for a wine port

Yep, the walls behind the tiles are heavily scored and roughened so that the tiles have a good surface to bond onto....these grooves are more often than naught vertical or horizontal lines made by their grinders.
