YES, is true ![]() ![]() Perhaps if you do not want to share them, it would be good that you put a note that this examples will not be available in the library. Although I think that Indigo Ray have the intention and wish to publish them BUT it seems that this does not happen after many months waiting. One example
![]()
![]() So from reading the answer I could think that it has the intention of making it available sometime soon in the FF library, BUT we are already in April 2012, and there is NO news after 8 months about this filter. |

Indigo only releases his filters when he thinks they are perfect, and not a checkbox before.
Indigo, we don't mind if it's not perfect! submit it to the libraray, and you can always update later ![]() |

OK, I agree with this BUT as I have said above this have been 8 MONTHS AGO !! ![]() I understand and know this very well, as I am the same perfectionist but I am letting go and now I Know that to release a filter it does not need to be perfect, just working right and organized and with presets to show what it can do.
OH, yes, I agree with you, it does not need to make it super mega perfect, because you can ALWAYS update it after and add more things or correct something, the only thing is that it should work and be efficient if possible. |

Well, I don't know...you didn't say please...
![]() I don't mean to guiltify myself more, but this filter has been in the works since 2009 (see the bottom of the 1st page in this thread). I will see about finally submitting the filter within a week. |

i like this last one, indigo. but, you're right, the depth blur is off a bit. it doesnt make a smooth transition all the way through... at least to my eye. still, i like this!

What happened to the great 3D and high green windowsless buildings ?

Spaceray, I would like to texture the green blocks with windows, but I can't seem to add texture to a vertical face. It's hard to explain.
![]() Perspectivescape V2. Actually, I cheated with this one: I used a pre-made seamless height map from the internet. I now use Betis' "gradual blur" for the depth blur, which is a little better. I also added some simple shadows and whatever that atmospheric effect is called. ![]() Now takes almost 20 seconds. ![]() You can see the texture getting stretched on the slopes. If there was a way to prevent that... ![]() |

Well, I really do NOT want to have windows and so they could be similar to buildings, this was something Morgantao said ![]() |

Suuuuure, blame it on me! ![]() Indigo, those examples are really cool, I like what you've done. To avoid stretching on the slopes, perhaps try using the height map as a mask between large scale and small scale snoises, or use it as scale\stretch on the noise component itself. |

Morgantao, neither of those ideas work, unfortunately.
![]() ...it's a long shot, but what about UV mapping? Also, I made this by accident, thanks to Uber. No, it's not 3d. ![]() |

Morgan, I submitted a snippet that is employed in the printmaking filter (hopefully the filter library will update tomorrow). Give me a little more time on the printmaking one. You'll drive me to submission eventually.
![]() And wake up, I submitted the mud cracks filter: Here it is. If you want a uniform cracked texture, it's an easy mod in the filter editor. |

Please, Please Indigo Ray, could you be so kind to explain a little HOW you have been able to make this beautiful and wonderful 3D effect shapes in Filter Forge ?

This was made by accident ? ![]() How is possible ? ![]() In what is Uber related to this great and beautiful "accident" ? |

Ooooh, I know, I know, me, me, ask me, I know!
![]() Uberzev asked for a hand made F2 whorley noise, and Indigo stumbled upon this in his try to make the noise. I imagine this was done by feeding that triangular pyramid shape into a bomber. The question is, how was the shape created... Perhaps by manually overlaying the 3 lines over a polygon? |

OH ! I see is that thread about the FF Whorley Noise, so this may be the relation, but is still the same for me as I do not know about this and have no clue how this works or how to use this.
I have tried to feed shapes into the bomber and got horrible and unexpected results and nothing useful, so it would be good to know how to make this 3D triangular shapes and how is the GOOD way to feed them into the bomber and get a good result like the one above |

Morgantao I suppose that do you mean this thread Anyone have a manual method for recreating F2 Worley Noise?, but I do not see how you could convert this Worley noise shapes into this poligonal 3D sharp shapes shown by Indigo Ray
![]() This below is the Worley Noise from uberzev ![]() |

Jeez guys...stop bickering in my thread.
![]() Yes Morgan, a triangular pyramid into a bomber, then.......... No, Spaceray, it is not exactly 3d, the lighting is based on the gradient, not on direction. |

OK, do not bother, I was wondering why you said this, as we did not do something very wrong, I think, but I do not bother about it, I accept you apology and also will be more carefull when posting.
AND THE BEST OF ALL is that you have uploaded your 3D style "accident" filter and after using it I really must say that is AN AWESOME AND AMAZING ACCIDENT !!!!! ![]() I like very much how you have done this and the way to use the polygons with the bomber and the edge detector and tint color. I have done an updated version with more controls and more ways to customize your great and lovely filter and have discovered more things that can be done. This is a pre-release as I think there is hidden a great potential and much more behind this filter Here is what I have done until now Tri updated controls.ffxml |
