Hi all~ ((Lynn I know you will like this one))

The main base is Herringbone Tapestry Preset #6 http://www.filterforge.com/filters/2667.html

It gives the design and layout for the beads. I simply followed the pattern in the filter for the delicate glass beading.

The beads are made from my diamonds filter. ((A diamond was cut out)). To get a diamond you have to look at the 'about' screen for that filter. The filter has to be applied on a solid back ground of a certain color.

StevieJ's ColorChromatic gave the beads and stars their glass appearence.

Bevels and Beads Frame by CFandM made the rod when applied on shape number B44 of Uleads Photo Impact (the rod shape is the only part of the image that is not FF ---> just the shape though,,, the coloring and shading was done with FF).

HSL Color Manipulation by Kraellin was an essential part background and rod color shading. (((Used alot of this filter on those two parts)))

Herringbone Tapestry Preset 6 then was also a base for the background.

At least two presets of Metallic Emboss

Then Curtain Craft by Zephos for the background. Polished with HLS Color Manipulation by Kreallin.
When I finished it was beautiful ----> pulled it in the browser for a preivew and it was washed out like an old ladies dress.

It will be going in the Herringbone comment area and my Diamonds maker comment area. I'm pretty worn out now and going to take a break after showing to the forum.

For those filter artists I mentioned I would be more then happy to put a copy in your filters comments area for the filter used. Just let me know. It will most likely be tomorrow though. Gotta go spend time with hubby~

The image is much more vibrant then it appears here.

smile:ff: Thank you Kraellin~ smile:ff:

I found your HSL filter yesterday and the min I saw it --------> had to have it!!

Flaming Pears Kyoto Colors is a filter based on HSL filters and has been a long time favorite filter of mine. ((I am an HSL color nut and have that channel on many of my filters)). I consider the colors more of an art base channel system but I can't do without HSL. (((Your filter went straight into my favorites)).

Well I did add more beads. Using the same beads I made yesterday. The amemythst is the star with the points cut off.

I'm still having a big problem with IE compressing my images so light that it is depressing to see what the browser is doing to the image. I just spent the last hour on the Internet trying to find help to fix the compression the IE browser is doing. Couldn't find anything so I guess I'll have to live with it. And although I know I'm going to lose some image quality--------> this is ridiculous and way too much compression, JMO. ((And I've gone all thru my paint preferences---> nothing there I can change to help this problem.))

The original image is more vibrant (the IE browser has poured a bucket of acid on it, LOL)

Here is the template for the beads.

It is Preset #6 in my Herringbone Tapestry. I will be going thru this fitler later today to see if it will make some more bead templates.

I'll give information on the diamonds maker filter for cutting out the diamond with a nice round circle selection in that filters comment section. (very easy)

Tips and Tricks:

Then the diamond is scaled to around 74% smaller it makes a pearl. When StevieJ's ColorChromatic filter is applied to this pearl------> it turns into the most delicate glass bead. I do have bead settings saved and will give those to StevieJ or put them in his comments area for his filter.

For the template use Preset 6 of my Herringbone Tapestry. Apply the filter to a 500 x 500 solid white background. Now turn 'Grid' on for your paint program. I cut 'the center star' out with the Bezier tool. Then went back and filtered it again with Preset 6 (has to be the center star for filter placement with the second application of Preset 6). That's the trick for getting the star. Once you have the star then you take it to StevieJ's Color Chromatic filter and have fun. smile:D (And you only have to cut one star out. From that point on you copy and paste as many stars as you like from that one star, just like you did for the diamond filter---> only have to cut out one.)

Here is the sample template (please use the filter to generate your own).

P.S. This filter would also be good for quilting squares.

P.S.S. Forgot to add---------> for bead work I zoom in at 600% if necessary when working. To get the placement right------> or to cut out the star~

I've been layering filters for a long time now so hopefully I've got an eye for it, LOL.

I went thru 'all' the glass of yours I had downloaded (pretty sure I have every glass filter you've made). And ColorChromatic was a hands down winner for the beads--------------> your filters are amazing~ The quality of the filters will show in application, JMO. For ColorChormmatic to make glass beads, now that's a filter! I'm continually impressed by the filter artists here at FF.

A lot of filter combinations yesterday. Today I'm going to go outside and garden then tomorrow will put the image in the comments sections etc,.

On some of your glass filters the 'shards' were too sharp (for small work). For smaller glass work ColorChrommatic is a stand out. You should get an award for it if you havn't already. All your filters should have awards~

(((Thanks for the compliments))) smile:fairy:

I'm almost finished with some 3D glass and 3D crystalizer filters that you might find useful (more sparkly smile:)) for this type of work.....

well, good. i hope you get good use out of it.

as for your compression and display problem, i dont really know what's going on there. all i can see is that you might be able to post a slightly higher file size. the one i looked at was about 183k and this forum will allow 250k. so, you shld be able to save and post at a slightly bigger file size.

Well you know Lynn and myself will most definately try them on beads~ smile:D

However I'm not making graphics this week (except for a few display images). I had to put filter making on back burner to kick out the images and now I need to head back to filters. (Yo-Yo between the graphics and the filters). But I will download and play with it and I will eventually get to it ------> Love all your filters~

I know where to go when I need glass for art~ smile:D

Well the first one is not compressed by me at all (((the browser takes the first image down to 60,000 and the second down to 90,000))). And the second one is only compressed by me to 2%. If only it were showing at 183k. The file might be that size but it's not showing at that size. It's the IE7 browser but I still havn't figured out how to fix it.

Hi Lynn~

Oh thank you~ I was outside gardening yesterday (my back hurts today). I'll bet you have some beautiful photos of the lake~ smile:D

I sampled many of your filters on this image~ You have some wonderful metal on your frame filter hope you don't mind it being used as I did~ Tell you a little secret about the 'rod' for the beads. Nothing worked. And the beads only look good with the right rod and background, so your filter was a lifesaver~ TY~

Thanks for the compliment~ smile:D It's the image that dictates the filters, I just try and find what the image wants. 'The Image Whisper', LOL.

Good Morning all smile:fairy: Hope everyone had a great weekend. And I don't know about everyone else but I am soooo behind today. Going to make some fitlers but I may have to go back outside and garden some more. ((Moving plants, weeding, digging up soil)).

Jean
