I do not know if you already know about the beautiful, wonderful and amazing results you can get with carefully prepared panoramic photos and the photoshop polar coordinates filter to make Polar Coordinates Panoramas
I think that this could be done in Filter Forge but do know it would be possible How to Create Your Own Planets Using Your Panoramas http://content.photojojo.com/tutorial...a-planets/ ![]() http://www.flickr.com/photos/diegofot...08326@N00/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/dirkpaessler/164124874/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/dirkpaessler/3904448343/ and more here ---> http://www.flickr.com/photos/dirkpaes...164124874/ AND MORE THAN TEN THOUSANDS MORE here ---> http://www.flickr.com/photos/dirkpaes...164124874/ And if you tink that spheric planets are not so good, you can make then cube style AND ALSO here some more 50-dazzling-examples-of-polar-panorama-photography http://www.webdesignerdepot.com/2009/...otography/ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() AND EVEN MORE HERE 30+ Examples & Tutorials of Stunning Polar Panorama Photos http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/30-examp...ma-photos/ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() AND MORE HERE ![]() http://weburbanist.com/2009/03/08/pol...otographs/ ![]() And another FLICKR Polar Coordinates Panoramas group http://www.flickr.com/groups/43428515@N00/ |

Thanks for the link, you are right that this is a very good plugin, but I have not bought it already, as I have prefered to buy FF 3.0 upgrade and other things before this, also thanks for remembering that I have found about this flexify before some time ago, but as this was not important and have a priority I have not bought it, the same as the excellent Fractalius that also have not bought either ALSO if you go to the end of the page on the first link hereyou will see that this is put also. The Flexify filter module ($35) for Adobe Photoshop creates polar panoramas on-the-fly and offers numerous projections for your photos.
Thanks for the link, I did not that there was already a spherify filter ![]() As far as I know FF works better with square and normal rectangular photos, although really do not know what happens with large and long rectangular panoramic photos and a FF distortion filter applied to them, should try and see. |

Some filters are prepared for rectangular photos as you can see with the very good

The Wild Orb Perspective filter by voldemort (the king of distortion filters) is NOT prepared for rectangular photos as shown here with starnge and weird effects and is does not work at all well as it happens with the well done inujima filter above
![]() Trying also the other presets give the same weird result and wrong result ALSO happens the same wrong errors with the 3D Sphere by ThreeDee as ALSO is ONLY configured for SQUARE photos. ![]() |

Well here you go SpaceRay getting me sidetracked again..
![]() ![]() ![]() Here is an updated version of the filters link I posted a couple of posts up....This one I updated to work....Not quite finished..Still needs some controls to adjust the image....But go to the settings to load the panoramic image....Then you can select the new image for the finished size..... ![]() ![]() I have tried your new updated version Panoramic Planets but regretably it does not work well for me, it does not make an sphere or a planet like the ones above ![]() ![]() What settings must be put ? I have tried 3 different photos and had very bad result even trying with different settings For example I have taken from the very first link this photo here as source for your filter ![]() AND I should be getting this result ![]() AND what I get with your filter is this shown below with scale 1,2 and size 2000, and I am showing the best I could make as there are many worse versions ![]() ![]() |

I have found something strange !! If I open the Filter editor the final component shows a DIFFERENT preview than the one Filter Forge gives as a result, as in the tiny small preview of the "Result Source" you can see a much better panoramic AND you can see the WATER in the center, and in the end result shown above there is NO water anywhere seen
Please see this screenshot here below ![]() |

Also I have seen that the Flexify 2 filter is really very complex and have many options, and have LOTS AND LOTS of Output options in MANY different shapes.
Also they say that they have a "1-click little planets" !!! as shown here I also have seen that the price have risen from 35$ to 45$ !! Although before buying, there is a downloadable free trial version ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

As I said still needs work and options to do various things......One note....Create a new image by going to the File menu then new image then create a square image....Then go to the settings tab on the filter and load the panoramic image from there......

Apart fr om the very well done and lovely and awesome filters fr om CFandM
There ALSO the real and original filter that has surely been used to make all the photos shown on the first post (because they have not travelled in time and got the CFandM filter and went back in time) and this is the: SUB BLUE LITTLE PLANETS PIXEL BENDER FILTER http://www.subblue.com/blog/2010/6/17/little_planets
I think that the CFandM uses Polar coordinates effect instead of this Stereographic projection. Although the main point is to build your own small planets as shown above (specially on first post) in this filter fr om SubBlue you can ALSO create the oppossite effect and warp the photo outward. The best and wonderful thing on this filter is THAT ALL IS PREVIEWED, MADE AND RENDERED IN REALTIME - ZERO WAITING Of course this is not a CFandM fault, and he have done a very good filter, but the problem is ON Filter Forge not having GPU acceleration. The lim itation is that you can go beyond 4096 pixels inside the filter, BUT you can load slighty higher resolution of about 4500 pixels or perhaps up to 5000. ![]() |

Many things have changed in 3 years after I made this thread, and now this photo creation technique is much more popular and there is much more software available to make this possible
The easiest ones are the new apps available for smartphone and tablets, specially for iOS. Google search for Little planets app There are also new software available for desktop computer but do not have now the links, will put later |
