I have already asked this in another thread but got no answer, and instead of asking again there, I want to put it here to see if this is a bug of the Beta of FF 3.0 or will it be this way.

I have seen in the new FF 3.0 3.05 with resizable interface that the preset icons get reorganized and change their distribution according to the available space in that windows pane, so they get the most of the space.

Well If you try to do the same with the FF filters Library windows pane and change the size, the filter icons keeps exactly the same in a row list and do not get redistributed or reoganized to fill the new available space as it happens with the preset.

So, now if you resize the filter windows pane you only get a huge empty space that is not useful, and I wonder:

Please, Why the filters do not get reorganized and redistributed as it happens with the preset icons ?

The filters icons do not redistributing when changing size is a bug and the filter icons should be redistributed or will be this way in the final FF 3.0 commercial version?

Please, can you be so kind to tell me why there is such a huge empty space now there if they can´t leave the row list ?

I hope that this is a bug and that the filters icon will be able to also redistribute to the available space, because if it is right as seen now and they will keep the same in a list as before, I am sorry, But I do not see really the point of resizing the window ?

What would be useful for to resize the filter window if filter icons do not move?

I have attached this screenshot to show it graphically

Thanks very much

As you can see in this other screenshot, the preset icons are redistributed according to the available space.

I have seen also that the text from the "about" tab of filters is also working right and the text is also redistributed to fill the available space as it is resized.

So I wonder if the problem is with the filter windows, as in the lower window it works right.

It's not a bug in FF3, but we'll consider your feature request smile:)
I'm moving this to the appropriate forum.

If this is not a bug, what was the intention of making a resizable panel if you can´t use it for useful things ?

It is only valid for presets that are only a few, and NOT valid for the hundreds and thousands of filters ? smile:?: smile:(

Would it be really so difficult to be able to resize the filters in the same way that the preset do now?

Please, Please, I hope and wish that we do not have to wait to FF 4.0 to see this available.

This would really be a very useful thing and very handy and interesting.

Here I have made a design on how should the filter list look in similar way as the presets are available now

Please, click over the image to see it at full size, thanks

NO one else wonders and have thought why the FF team when making this new resizable interface have leaved that huge blank space shown above unusable ????

What is the point of having the great resizable window if the inside components does not get benefit form the new windows sizes? Well, only the presets get benefit.
