This thread is in reference to this ---> http://cscart.uservoice.com/forums/40782-professional

I value and give thanks for all the new features that has been already implemented and available now in the new FF 3.0 and is a great thing and lovely, BUT there are still many others things that could be added to keep making this excellent software much better each time and keep it growing.

And the FF users are the ones that use it most and know what they could need that is still not available.

I do not want that this thread is seen as we are greedy, and think that we are a selfish and in excessive desire for more features and that we are not satisfied with what we already have.

CUSTOMER USER VOICE FEEDBACK VOTE

I have found by chance searching on google this interesting way to tell the programming team which features are the most wanted and priority to add to a future version of the program they develop and make

They use a voting system, so the feature that gets the most votes are the one that has more priority and is the most wanted.

Of course this does mean that the most voted is the one that will be implemented because it must be possible and be able to do in the programming structure.

They have a very good tabbed system where they have:

Which ones are the TOP ideas suggested, then the HOT ideas, then which ones of the voted have been already ACCEPTED by the programming team of the company, and CLOSED are the ones that will not be implemented and are NOT accepted.

As shown above, you can see it here --> http://cscart.uservoice.com/forums/40782-professional

I know that there is already a UNOFFICIAL FEATURE WISHLIST wiki but in this one there is no way to participate and give our own opinion and choose which one has more priority and which one we would like most to be implemented, and also is not updated frequently and is not really a source of what will really be done and which ones are the most requested and wanted.

MAKE IT HERE NOW IN THE FEATURE WISHLIST FORUM

Meanwhile, we could also make here in the feature wishlist a special thread with the most voted and most wanted features and people could give their votes and this votes would be added to the list.

I have already made a thread about this if you want, so please to post and answer about this part and give your features wishes you can go to this other thread here

I know that is difficult to do here as the forum does NOT allow to modify any post but the last one. In other forums you can edit ANY of your own posts, wherever they are, and so it could be done a list in the first post with the most wanted features and the votes it has got so far, but as said this way is not possible here.

As said above I would like if you are interested to make a list in this other thread here and so could begin now to do it and have plans for future updates of FF.

True. Only Vlad knows what will be done, but for a general idea it helps to pay close attention to Vlad's comments on the forums, and look at the infrastructural systems in place behind features and how they interlock... Clicky! smile;)

"I don't like to think in terms of 'features' -- I usually concentrate on systems that make features possible. Systems are the core, features are a byproduct."
-- Vladimir Golovin

You'll see that the complete library redesign is one of the big focal points for FF4, and it's been talked about since the first beta, basically. The library ties into various closely intertwined systems both server- and client-side, so it will be those interrelated systems that we'll see being developed 'in tandem' for FF4. Feature requests that tie into those systems will likely get attention, while requests that pertain to unrelated systems might not.

In conclusion: If you study Vlad's comments in the thread linked to above and think about the systems affected, you can get at a pretty clear picture of where the priorities lie on the developer side...
