Hi, that's a very good start, and the realistic part is no exaggeration. I think the controls are a bit cluttered and hard to understand, though. Imagine someone trying to play around with the knots who doesn't know the Bomber controls in and out. (Like me. Is the second/smaller bomber even necessary? Could be done differently perhaps. (I'm taking my first steps with the editor right now, so don't take my thoughts too seriously.) |

Thanks! I am just taking my first steps with the editor too, so we're in the same boat! When you say "controls" above, are you referring to the exposed parameters or the actual modules in the editor? Either way, I agree that both are a bit cluttered - I have been planning to clean up house soon and I'll post in this thread once the update goes up.
I can understand how the preset may seem disorienting - I wanted to give the user as much flexibility as possible over the various properties of the material. I think I have some ideas on how that can be achieved more simplistically, however. There are a total of four bombers (two for each knot size, one for shadows, and another for alpha. Since releasing this I've since found a way to condense that to two - so that may optimize things a bit as well. Anyway, hope you find it useful! |
