Google Earth, Adobe Flash, Corel Photopaint, Filter Forge standalone
This is an interactive map and menu of a website for a fantasy related fair.
First the aerial view (Google Earth) of the fair grounds was traced in Flash in three layers: the roads, the trees and the water. These layers where then exported separately to bitmap. The three bitmaps were then run through Filter Forge, each through a filter specifically made for that look.
The road-, tree- and water bitmaps were then assembled in Photopaint, grass was added (also an FF filter), and some minor details were added.
The result is a 2732 x 2436 pixel bitmap that is loaded into Shockwave Flash where it can be zoomed in and out from 400% to 20%.
Above the map is a layer of clouds (another FF filter) that moves and zooms on a different scale, creating the illusion of depth.
A few other filters were used to create the paper of the map and legend, and the wax seal.
Unsubmitted filters used:
- Trees
- Roads
- Water
- Grass
- Rolled up paper
