Making a complex filter requires lots of fiddling with components. In previous program versions filter authors could copy and paste components but that didn’t differ much from adding a new component from scratch, since copying and pasting discards connections. Filter Forge 12 adds the ability to duplicate a component preserving its settings and incoming connections. To duplicate a component, select the Duplicate command from the menu.

You can duplicate everything that can be copied: components, controls, slaves, and groups. Result and Group Result components can’t be copied and thus can’t be duplicated, you also can’t have multiple copies of Accumulated in a single Loop. When you duplicate a Group, a new instance will be created; when you duplicate an instance the duplicate will be yet another instance of the same parent group.

We've also made a minor change to the Result's slave components: you can now have multiple copies of Pixel X, Pixel Y, Image Width, and Image Height components, and they can be copied, pasted and duplicated on general terms.
