Description
I'm learning to do some amazing things with Filter Forge and hoping to bring a few of you along on my journey. I hope other beginners can learn something from this, or at least that it's of some use somewhere. This is a simple brushed metal filter. I looked at other brushed metal filters and wondered why they had a shiny light on them, it didn't seem necessary, and then when I made my own, I HAD to put a shine on it or it just looked like grey wood rather than brushed metal. There are two parts to this filter.First, there's the metal texture. This is basically two elements sent into an Elevation Gradient. One is a Cell Noise and the other is a Noise Gradient. I tried using two different noise processors but it didn't look right because there were two random elements clashing, so I changed to a Noise Gradient because that's got no horizontal random to it, it's basically vertical stripes.Secondly, there's the light. It's just a harmless Profile Gradient with some inputs
