Description
The classic Julia fractal using a spectral or user defined 12 color map. The inside or outside of the fractal may be viewed. Zooming in to find more detail is easiest starting with presets variation 1 or setting Zoom to 0. First, play with the Seed controls. As you change the value, notice how the shape changes. Some areas may have no shape at all. Experiment. Next zoom in starting with the Offset controls. As you zoom in deeper, change to the Fine, Finer, then Finest controls.Inner Color Adjust may be set to values as low as .0001 or as high as needed. Color Variation changes the color formula to be more "terracced". Color Map Variation changes how the color map is displayed (Linear, Smooth, Steps, Bands).The best results in lighting often use low (even .01 or .1) height values and high brightness values in the Lighting tab. Save Presets often when exploring. If you get lost, you can go back!Lock Fine Tune Seed X & Y controls before using Next Variant.
