Know your noise, it is one of the strongest weapons in Filter Forge. This filter is just using one single (cell) noise node, a gain Curve node and a threshold node. If you download this filter you will find many presets, each of which looks pretty different from the other. It is incredible how many looks you can get out of a single noise when setting its values carefully. I was impressed myself and I want to invite you to explore these presets use them for your own goodness when you need some special type of noise.
